The type of the screw needed will vary greatly depending on the type of surface you're fixing to (e.g. stainless steel post, wall, floor...). The above Hexagon Socket Head Cap Screw (M8) is the standard screw to be used when fixing the glass clamps to steel posts. You might want to choose the correct fixing screw with similar dimension as this.
Below is a typical glass clamps application, to show the recommended positions for fixing the glass clamps. However we do have customers who prefer fixing the clamps on top and bottom (e.g having a larger glass panel).
| Dimensions (mm) || Min. || Max. |
| W || Width of Glass || 500 || 1500* |
| H || Height of Glass || 800 || 1000* |
| h1 || Distance between handrail and top of the glass || 10 || 50 without edge protection, 100 with edge protection |
| h2 || Distance between floor and bottom of the glass || 10 || 50 without edge protection, 100 with edge protection |
| h3 || Glass edge above – axle upper glass clamp || 100 || 150 |
| h4 || Glass edge below – axle lower glass clamp || 100 || 150 |
*Max. size depends on glass type, glass thickness and wind factor (when using outdoor).
** For safety reason, we suggest the Secure Pin (supplied with your clamps) to be used when the glass panel is fixed to the outside of a staircase and overhanging.
